1515 Fourth Street Apartments

1515 Fourth Street is an apartment project in downtown San Rafael from local developer, Monahan Pacific. The project site is located at the former West America Bank site on Fourth Street between Shaver and E Street at the gateway to the West End. The mid-rise design includes 162 multifamily residential units with one and two bedrooms, including 13 affordable units. The building will include 8,800 square feet of retail on the street and 2,000 square feet of public art gallery space. The proposal for 1515 Fourth Street reflects the City's Downtown Specific Plan which prioritizes housing to enliven our Downtown with new residents, shoppers, and customers.

This project will hopefully get through the public hearings in April 2023 and begin site work Summer 2023. Construction would likely take a couple of years before occupancy.
