2021: It will run every Thursday and Friday night. We were able to expand it because of the overwhelming support of the local community in maintaining safe distances and wearing masks, except while eating.
Families and friends are invited to dine outdoors in the spaces set up by restaurants, cafes, bars and breweries continuing to serve. Fourth Street will be closed to traffic for alfresco on-street dining on Thursdays & Fridays from 5–9 pm. Making the best of social distancing, restauranteurs arrange tables on the street for a romantic European feel under the glimmering new overhead Tivoli lights.
The San Rafael Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) spearheaded the overhead lights and on-street dining programs, with great planning and fast action from many departments of the City of San Rafael. We are extremely grateful for their monumental support. Thank you to the SRPD as well.
Marin residents and business owners are encouraged to enjoy our amazing and resilient restaurants often, but especially on Thursday & Friday nights.
PLEASE: Wear masks. • Keep 6' social distance. • Keep hands sanitized. • Alcohol must stay in serving area.
