Sidewalk Sale is coming up soon! Join us for bargains, treasures and lots of fun!

With proceeds from May Madness this past May we, The Downtown San Rafael Business Improvement District And the San Rafael Elks Lodge had the opportunity to donate to Camp Chance. Camp Chance is a program for under served youth in our community created by the San Rafael Police Department with collaboration from the Marin County Sheriff's Office, The Novato Police Department, and the Marin County Office of Education.

In the first picture we have From Left to right, the director of the Downtown BID, Eda Loche, Jaime Ortiz from Bank of Marin and President of the BID, Bob Meier from San Rafael Elks Lodge, and Rick Lewis May Madness producer and owner of Gold Rush Jewelers, presenting San Rafael Police Chief Diana Bishop with two checks that will all go to benefit Camp Chance.

"The 20th annual Camp Chance was held July 8th -July 12th . With your generous donations, the San Rafael Police Department and Marin County Sheriff’s Office hosted 72 underserved children from Marin County at Walker Creek Ranch. During the week, the children were kept busy with crafts, games, and gardening. In addition to the program delivered by the counselors from Walker Creek, the Campers were treated to presentations from the police department and sheriff’s office. The campers were able to see demonstrations from our K-9 handlers, SWAT team, and Crime Scene Investigators. The California Highway Patrol was gracious enough to fly their helicopter, H-30, over for a show and tell. On Thursday the kids were taken to Limantour Beach for a day of fun in the sun and sand. This was the first time some of these kids have been to the beach! " - SRPD
