What's Happening: Phase 2 of the BID's Mulching Project is here, and we need your help to make it a success! We'll be continuing to mulch the intersections along 4th Street to enhance the beauty of our neighborhood. It's a fantastic opportunity to give back to our community, meet your neighbors, and enjoy some fresh air.  Phase 1 was on Earth Day Clean and Green Day in April, and Phase 3 will be held later this year if we have enough interest.

Why Mulching Matters: Mulching not only adds an aesthetic appeal to our streets but also offers various benefits, including:

• Weed Suppression: Mulch helps to suppress weed growth, reducing the need for herbicides.
• Moisture Retention: It retains moisture in the soil, helping plants thrive during hot summer days.
• Soil Improvement: As mulch breaks down, it enriches the soil with essential nutrients.
• Erosion Control: Mulch helps prevent soil erosion during heavy rains.

What to Bring:

• Gardening gloves
• Shovels or rakes (if you have a favorite)
• Sunscreen and hats (if it's sunny)
• Your enthusiasm and community spirit!
