Your Voice Matters: San Rafael Public Art Installations
The Downtown San Rafael Arts District (DSRAD) and the City of San Rafael has launched a new Public Art Program to enhance Downtown vitality and celebrate our city’s cultural identity. This exciting program will bring five new public art installations - including murals, mosaics, and sculptures- to highly visible locations throughout Downtown in Spring/Summer 2026.
Beginning Monday, October 20, you’ll be able to view and comment on artwork proposals from the semifinalist artists. Your feedback will help shape which proposals are selected for each of the five sites!
Public Viewing & Comment Period:
October 20 – November 3, 2025
Pop-up locations where/when the art proposals will be on display for in-person viewing:
Monday, October 20th - Friday, October 24th, 2025, City Hall Lobby, 1400 5th Ave.
Friday, October 24, 2025, 5pm - 7pm, Pond Farm Brewing Co., 1848 4th St.
Saturday, October 25, 2025, 1pm - 3pm, Trick-or-Treat on Fourth Street, City Plaza - 1000 4th St.
