Helping Downtown Grow, One Intersection at a Time

The Downtown San Rafael BID Mulching Program is a volunteer-driven beautification effort that helps keep our downtown intersections looking healthy.

Three times each year, BID Board members, community members, local businesses, and City partners come together to refresh tree wells and planters throughout Downtown San Rafael. Whether you're a business owner, resident, employee, student, or community group, there's a place for you on our team. In just a few hours, volunteers help spread mulch, tidy planters, and make a visible impact on Downtown's appearance.

With support from the City of San Rafael DPW, local businesses, and volunteers, our downtown tree planters are refreshed three times a year to help create a greener, cleaner, and more vibrant Downtown!
