New E-Bike Rules in San Rafael
The Marin IJ reports that San Rafael’s City Council has approved new e-bike safety regulations. Riders must now be 16 or older to use throttle-powered (Class 2) e-bikes, helmets are required for all riders, and younger riders should stick to pedal-assist (Class 1) e-bikes or traditional bikes.
