Farewell and Gratitude to Downtown Streets Team
After more than 12 years of serving our unhoused neighbors in Marin, Downtown Streets Team (DST) Marin will conclude its local programs on Friday, October 24. Unfortunately, the current financial and political environment has greatly impacted their ability to sustain programs across the organization.
Since launching in 2013, DST Marin has helped 249 individuals find stable housing and has been a vital partner in building dignity and pathways to stability for so many in our community. Their work experience program participants removed over 1.5 million lbs. of debris from our streets!
We extend our deepest gratitude to Zoë Neil, DST Marin County Director, and the entire DST Marin team for their incredible dedication, compassion, and partnership in making Downtown San Rafael a stronger, more connected, and caring place for all.
Though DST Marin’s chapter is closing, their legacy of hope and collaboration will continue to inspire our community’s efforts to support those in need.
