The City of San Rafael has a new Community Services Division Director, Daniel Cooperman, who is here to help address homelessness. He comes to our community with over 15 years of experience in the non-profit and local government sectors. You can read more about him and this new division here. The Homelessness Solutions Working Group serves as a foundation for the City’s Homelessness Solutions Action Plan, which will be developed in 2025. You can review the January 14th meeting packet HERE. The next meeting is taking place on March 11th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm, Second Floor – Emergency Operations Center San Rafael Public Safety Center 1375 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael, CA . Save the SAFE (Specialized Assistance for Everyone) phone number in your phone: Services provided by SAFE include responding to people who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, in need of treatment for mental illness, or who need shelter by providing counseling and transportation to the appropriately staffed location. Make sure you put the SAFE team's phone number IN YOUR PHONE. 415-458-SAFE (7233).
