Pac Sun Story: Into the Fold: Bookagami Transforms Pages into Sculpture
San Rafael artist Adrienne Biggs is turning rescued books into art in her “Bookagami” practice, folding and transforming discarded volumes into whimsical, sculptural pieces that breathe new life into forgotten pages. Her show Black, White and Read All Over is now on view at Marelli Bros., with free public demonstrations and a hands-on workshop coming up.
A free, public demonstration will take place from 5 to 8pm on Friday, Sept. 12, during the Downtown Art Walk. On Thursday, Sept. 18, Biggs will host a hands-on Bookagami workshop from 6 to 8pm at Pint Size Lounge in downtown San Rafael.
