Pickleball Organized and Body Kinetics Health Club to Open Indoor Pickleball-Led Sports & Wellness Facility in Downtown San Rafael
Pickleball Organized LLC, one of the leading pickleball organizations in Marin County and the greater Bay Area, has partnered with Body Kinetics Health Club to open a new indoor, pickleball-led sports and wellness center in downtown San Rafael. The partners have leased a 20,000-square-foot facility at 1801 4th Street, formerly home to Yard Birds, with construction currently underway.
The new project, Body Kinetics Sports Club, is scheduled to open in Summer 2026. Designed as a family-friendly indoor recreation and wellness hub, the new club will bring together pickleball, basketball, training, recovery, and community programming under one roof, responding to the region’s rapidly growing pickleball community and the need for consistent indoor play and injury-prevention–focused training.
The San Rafael location reflects a collaborative approach between Pickleball Organized and Body Kinetics Health Club, integrating sport, fitness, and recovery for year-round use.
Opening with Indoor Pickleball & Basketball
The club will open with pickleball-focused offerings, supported by basketball and performance programming. Initial offerings will include:
- Seven premium pro-cushion indoor pickleball courts
- Youth basketball programs and adult drop-in play
- Pickleball-specific fitness, strength, and stretch classes
- Professional trainers focused on performance, mobility, and injury prevention

A Broader Sports & Wellness Vision
As the club evolves, the vision extends beyond courts to a comprehensive indoor sports and wellness experience. Planned offerings include:
- The Elevate Sports Academy, where athletes can improve performance and recovery
- An Integrated Wellness Center, offering physical therapy, massage, infrared sauna, and red-light therapy
- Community events, private parties and social activities for youth and adults
- A café and lounge for members to gather before and after play

Membership & Open House
Membership at Body Kinetics Sports Club will be limited to preserve court access and overall experience quality. A community Open House will take place on Saturday, June 6th from 11AM - 3PM, including a preview of the club's offerings and activities:
