Join the Streets to Creeks Litter Reduction Campaign
CALLING ALL COMMUNITY PARTNERS!
San Rafael, in partnership with Streets to Creeks, is launching a campaign from Aug 1-Nov 1, 2026 to reduce litter in your area. We are looking for businesses and community groups, like yours, to join us!
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Not much! We will install temporary, street-side graphics (see images at right) and provide you with support & materials including counter signs, posters, and a social media toolkit to promote the campaign.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
Benefit from outreach (paid, earned, and organic) generated by the campaign, including:
• Additional foot traffic associated with our engagement tools, such as a scavenger hunt.
• Increased visibility. Your business will be added to our StreetsToCreeks.org website (over 120,000 active users) and you can become a Clean Business on the Clean Marin website.
• Reduced costs associated with trash compliance.
Plus, you will be associated with a campaign aimed at positively impacting the community of your customers.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Community partners, like you, are asked to allow installation of a temporary graphic in a location agreed upon by you and your local agency. You will be
provided with support & materials to help explain the campaign to your client base.
This opportunity is open to all local businesses and organizations in the campaign area. Please share this information with other potential community partners.
More about the program:
Downtown San Rafael has been selected to participate in the EPIC (Every Piece Inspires Change) Campaign, a community initiative focused on reducing litter, protecting our waterways, and creating a cleaner, more welcoming downtown environment.
Participating businesses can help by hosting a fun "Creek Critter" window decal, displaying a small counter sign that explains the campaign, sharing the effort on social media, and optionally participating in a community cleanup kickoff event.
Businesses that participate may be recognized as a Clean Business and listed as a community partner supporting a cleaner, greener Marin.
